Apache – CVE-2003-0083

Description

Kayran has detected that the Version of Apache HTTP Server being used does not filter terminal escape sequences from its access logs.
CVE-2003-0083 is different than CVE-2003-0020.

That will make it easier for attackers to insert those sequences into terminal emulators containing vulnerabilities related to escape sequences.

There’s a chance that this vulnerability will allow attackers to modify system files and information.

Recommendation

To fix CVE-2003-0083, upgrade the version of Apache HTTP Server being used to either 1.3.26 and 2.0.46 or higher.
